your first memory
make a memory from a conversation, open it, read and edit its pages, and meet the folders netti keeps inside it.
a memory in innernet is called a project. it can be anything you'd want remembered as a whole: an app you're building, a trip, a book, a job search, your garden.
make one from a chat
the easiest way is to talk about something in your ai as you normally would, and then say:
behind the scenes the ai calls innernet's save tool. netti reads what you talked about and designs the memory's shape: a handful of pages, each about one thing. a trip might get plan, bookings, people and open questions. a product might get vision, pricing and technical.
it appears on your dashboard under projects while you watch.
if you connected a tool in the welcome walk, netti handed you a first project prompt. pasting it does exactly this.
or make one by hand
- under projects, press options (bottom left) → new folder. right-clicking empty space works too.
- answer what are you building?
- pick a colour and an icon.
- choose whether netti writes the description (auto) or you do (manual).
- press create.
look inside
double-tap the project to open it.

- the pages come first, each marked domain. these are the memory itself.
- tasks, a to-do board your ai can read and write too.
- timeline, every change, newest first.
you'll also find a few folders netti keeps for you:
- inbox: things your ai sent that netti hasn't folded in yet. they're already searchable.
- handoffs: notes one session leaves for the next, where i left off.
- artifacts: living documents an ai built during a long session.
- skills: any page here that's also a skill (see step 12).
read and edit a page
open a page and it reads like a document. its sibling pages sit as tabs along the top.

- press the pencil, or double-click the words, to start editing.
- save when it says what you mean. esc cancels.
- press the pencil, or double-click the words.
- the page gets a coloured frame and says editing memory.
- change what you like.
- press save. or cancel, or esc, to leave it as it was.
every save is kept. nothing is ever silently overwritten.
the rule netti follows
a page always describes the present. when something changes, netti replaces the old version in the page and writes one short dated line at the bottom, under history:

so when you ask what did we decide?, you get one answer, not three. and when you ask what did we have before?, the history answers that too. it's worth following the same rule when you edit by hand.
the timeline
the timeline chip lists every change to this memory: what changed, what caused it (a chat, a git commit, a fold by netti), and when. open any entry for netti's own account of it.
tasks
the tasks chip is a simple board. type into add a task…, tick things off, double-click a title to rename it. your ai sees the same board: add "book the train to sintra" to my trip tasks works from any chat.
tidying up
- rename: double-click the name.
- park: right-click → park. it moves out of your way into parked (open ≡ to find it). unpark brings it back, untouched.
- forget a page: open it, options → forget this…. it shows exactly what would go and asks twice. this one is permanent.
