find your way around
the crumb, the menu, your spaces, the view chips and how to reorder them, the ground dial, and the few gestures worth knowing.
the dashboard is one navigator, the same on every page. learn these five things once and you can read all of it.
everything you're building, one folder each. netti keeps the line under each one fresh.
- the crumb says where you are. ≡ opens the whole map of innernet.
- your spaces. tap a word, or swipe the row, to move between them.
- the view chips. each is a way of looking at this place.
- the ground dial. the colour your innernet stands on.
- you. your name and your face, which opens the you space.
1. the crumb, and ≡
top left, the words innernet / yours / projects say where you are. every word is a way back: press innernet from anywhere to return to your projects.
≡, right after the wordmark, opens the whole map of innernet over the page.
tap a word to look inside it, tap a page to go there, press esc to close. two things are only reachable from here: parked (projects you've set aside) and the rest of innernet (docs, the community, the homepage).
search sits in the crumb too. it searches wherever you're standing: everything from the top, one project from inside it. type a question and it finds the answer for you.
2. your spaces
the big words along the top are your spaces:
- projects: every memory you keep, one folder each
- you: what innernet knows about you
- netti: how grown it is, how it looks, how it sounds
- skills: every page you've marked as a skill
- connections: your ai tools, api keys, the npx command
- activity: what happened, your repos, and your inbox
- tasks: every project's to-dos in one list
- settings: account, app, your chats, security, your data
to move: tap a word, or swipe the row (or anywhere on the page) left or right. the space you're in slides to the front.
under the title there's one line describing where you are. netti keeps it current. want to write your own? double-click it, type, press enter.
3. the view chips
the chips under that line are different ways of looking at the same place. on projects: grid (tiles), list (rows), orbit (your memories circling netti, sized by how much they hold) and story. inside a project you'll also find artifacts, tasks, timeline and, for code, repo.
put them in your order
- press and hold a chip for about half a second, until it lifts.
- drag it along the row and let go where you want it.
- the leftmost chip is the view this place opens in, from now on.

the order is saved for that place, on every device you use. and the chip on the far left is the view that place opens in. so if you'd rather see projects as a list, drag list to the front, and that's how they'll open from now on.
4. the ground
the four arcs, inside out: hue, saturation, brightness, and how much gradient the ground carries.
the page repaints as you drag, and saves when you let go.
the round swatch at the bottom left is the colour your innernet stands on. tap it and four arcs open:
- the inner arc is the hue.
- then saturation: from grey to vivid.
- then brightness: from night to day.
- the outer arc is how much gradient the ground carries.
the page repaints as you drag and saves when you let go. pick something deep and the words turn light on their own; nothing ever becomes unreadable. esc, or a tap anywhere else, closes it.
you can also reach it from netti → appearance → change your color, or from options → change ground colour.
5. you
top right, your name and your face. it opens the you space. settings, including signing out, live under settings → account.
the gestures worth knowing
- tap selects, double-tap opens.
- double-click a name to rename it.
- right-click a tile for its menu: settings, rename, icon, open, new folder, new page, move, park.
- drag a tile onto a folder to move it inside.
- ⌘ Z undoes a rename or a move.
- the little pill at the bottom right says in plain words what you're pointing at, whenever you're unsure.
