a memory is only worth trusting if you can see all of it, change any of it, and take it away. here's how, all in one place.

what never leaves

private facts never reach an ai tool, a shared room or a share link. not when a tool asks, not ever. you set which facts are private in you → private (step 8).
nothing runs on your computer. npx innernet writes a few settings and two git hooks; nothing sits there reading your files.
no key or password in a chat. tools sign in through your browser. an ai asking you to paste a key is always wrong.
every tool that can reach your memory is listed in connections, and in settings → security → ai tools with access. remove any you don't use: let it go, then press again.

forget one thing

every forget works the same way: it shows you exactly what would go, then asks once more.

forget “old-pricing”?

a page in lisbon-app, with its 6 earlier versions. every tool stops seeing it, and there is no undo.

keep ityes, forget it

forgetting always shows what goes, and waits for a second yes.

a fact about you: open it in you → private → forget.
a page: open it → options → forget this….
from any chat: forget the old-pricing page in lisbon-app. the ai shows you what it found and waits for your yes.

forgetting is permanent. a page takes its earlier versions with it; a fact takes every version of itself.

set a whole memory aside, or forget it

park it (right-click → park) to move it out of sight. it's in parked, under ≡, whole, whenever you want it back.
forget it entirely from any chat: forget the whole reading-list project. the ai shows everything it holds (pages, history, tasks) and asks you to confirm by typing its name. there is no bin.

if there's any chance you'll want it later, park it, or export first.

take everything with you

settings → data:

export my data: one file with everything innernet holds for you.
import your memory: bring in what another tool remembered.
delete my account: type delete my account to confirm. it's immediate, and backups clear within 30 days.

you can also download any folder as markdown, as context ready for claude, or as json, from options on that folder.

keep the account safe

settings → security:

update password: prove it's you with your current password or a code by email, then save the new password.
sign out elsewhere: ends every other session.
ai tools with access: jumps to connections.
