the chat window

some ai apps can show a small app inside the conversation. there, innernet appears as one quiet line under the answer. it's how you see, without leaving the chat, what your memory was just asked, what it kept, and what it held back.

the line, and what opens from it

1. 1the strip. netti's mark, one line of what innernet just found or kept, and a count. new calls roll a new line in; when things are quiet, recent ones drift past.
2. 2the ledger. tap the strip and it opens in place.

what the ledger holds:

• the chapter innernet thinks this conversation is in, and which memory it's working with
• for a code project, the branch and the last commit
• four numbers: read, saved, sent, and held back (private facts it chose not to send)
• what it found, as rows. each row opens that exact page of your dashboard.

at the foot: open in innernet, keep it in front, and let it rest in the chat to fold it away.

make it yours

settings → in your chats. every control sits beside a live preview of the real window, so you see each change as you make it.

• where innernet shows up: the window, the signature line (a small source line under answers), both, or neither.
• when it arrives: as one line, or already open.
• the line rolls: on, or still.
• open, the ledger shows: tick what you want: what it found, the numbers, branch and last commit.
• a row opens: innernet, in a tab, or in the window itself.

changes save at once; chats that are already open catch up within half a minute. back to the defaults puts everything back.

where it appears

in apps that support mcp apps, like claude and chatgpt. coding tools that run in a terminal don't show it; they get innernet's answers without the window, which is what you want there.
