step 1 of 33 minyour repo in innernetfor anyone who writes code. one command gives a repo its own memory, every commit keeps it current, and a teammate who clones it gets it too.
step 2 of 32 minbranch your memorytry a different direction without touching the one you have, compare the two, and keep what wins.
step 3 of 32 mingive your agent a memoryfor anyone who builds an agent. make it in your agents space, take its key, and in three lines it remembers. what it learns about you waits for your yes.

skip this step if you don't build agents. if you do, this is where an agent you write gets a memory of its own, and where you stay in charge of what it learns about you.

make it

open your dashboard and go to agents. press make an agent, give it a name, and say who it works for:

  • you: an assistant that sorts your email, a research scout, anything that acts for you. what it learns about you comes to you first.
  • other people: a support desk, a tutor, anything that serves your users. what it keeps about them stays with it, and never reaches your own memory.

it answers with the agent's key. it's shown once, so please keep it somewhere safe. that key reaches this agent and nothing else: not your projects, not your own memory.

three lines

from innernet import Innernet

agent = Innernet(api_key="innernet_…").agent("me")
agent.remember("prefers short replies, in the morning")
agent.recall("how should i write to them?")

remember takes a text or a whole conversation. innernet pulls out what's worth keeping, says who each memory is about, and hides keys and card numbers before anything is stored. recall brings back what fits, best first.

an agent that serves other people names who it's talking to:

desk.remember("ships on mondays", user_id="cus_8f2a")
desk.recall("when do they ship?", user_id="cus_8f2a")
desk.forget_user("cus_8f2a") # everything about them, gone

what it learns about you

when an agent that works for you learns something about you, it shows up in your agents space under waiting for you. press keep and it joins your own memory, marked as the agent's note, never as your words. press let go and it stays with the agent only.

if you'd rather not be asked, open the agent, go to settings, and set when it learns something about you to file it. or keep to itself, if you want nothing from it at all.

see how it ties together

the top of the agents space is a picture of you with every agent and every ai tool you talk to around you. each line is as heavy as what crosses it. point at one to read what it keeps, what waits for you, and what it read of you this month. press one to open it as its own innernet: its memory, what it learned about you, its people, its ledger, its settings and its keys.

go further

every setting, from what to keep to when to forget, is in agent settings, and every call is in the agents api.
